DistroKid does not register your music BMI, ASCAP, or any Performing Rights Organization (PRO). Although you are not required to register with a PRO once you distribute your music through DistroKid, many artists still choose to.
You can collect earnings from streaming services through DistroKid without being registered with a Performing Rights Organization. However, you may register your works with them for extra publishing administration if desired.
