Here's how to upload your music to DistroLock:

1. Sign in to DistroKid and head to https://distrokid.com/distrolock.
2. Click on "+ Add new track."
3. Select the "Audible Magic" checkbox if you wish to also add your audio to their database.
4. Add your audio file.
5. Add optional "Artist" and "Song title" information.
6. Confirm that you've read the DistroLock and DistroKid Terms of Service by checking the related box.
7. Click "Submit."

DistroLock Audio Restrictions

DistroLock works best for music that has not yet been distributed. Previously released music may already be in public audio databases, which means it can't be locked by anyone. Any audio uploaded to DistroLock that matches with existing audio in databases may not be eligible to be locked in DistroLock. This includes songs with publicly-available audio, like generic loops, sounds, and samples.

If your audio is found to be ineligible for DistroLock and is rejected after you upload it to DistroLock, there's some positive news: if you've previously distributed the audio, you already have some protections without DistroLock. That's because responsible services and distributors may cross-reference their new uploads with public audio databases, and reject unauthorized releases of your music without DistroLock's help.
