Before opting your music into the Social Media Pack album extra, you must first determine if it is eligible for YouTube Content ID. If your release contains any audio that that you didn't create yourself like beats, loops, samples, or video game sounds, then it is unfortunately ineligible for YouTube Content ID.
YouTube takes this very seriously. All of the following must be true for a release to be eligible:
- You created all of the sounds.
- Your release must NOT include beats, loops, sound effects, or any audio from sample libraries or public sources, including free sounds from GarageBand, Ableton, Logic, or Fruity Loops.
- You won't permit other artists to remix your song(s) or use any sounds from them. If a remix is uploaded to YouTube, Content ID might mistakenly claim it as yours, or vice versa if the remixer uses Content ID.
- Your release is not a cover. More info here.
- Your release does NOT contain public domain recordings or songs.
- Your release does NOT contain sounds from video games, television, movies, or other media sources.
- Your release does NOT contain any audio from other peoples' YouTube videos.
- You are the sole person responsible for adding this single to YouTube Content ID. To avoid confusion, no one else, including band members or producers, should attempt to do so.
- You have NOT used another company, such as TuneCore or CD Baby, to submit this single to YouTube Content ID. This will cause a conflict.
