You will need to have a personal Spotify account in order to claim your artist page. If you don’t already have an existing account, you can create one at https://www.spotify.com/signup/
You will need your Spotify Artist URI, which you can get from https://distrokid.com/uri/spotify/
Note: that for very recent or uploads (or releases that haven't gone live yet), you may need to wait a day or two for a URI to populate.
With your Spotify Artist URI, go to https://artists.spotify.com/c/access
Even if your first release hasn’t gone live yet, you can click ‘Continue’
Confirm the account you’re connecting:
Paste/type in your URI. If it’s good to go in Spotify’s system, you’ll see your artist name pop up. Click it!
Prior to your release going live, you won’t be able to use DistroKid’s Instant Access feature, so you’ll want to click “Skip instant access” to get verified through Spotify directly:
Enter the email you use for your Spotify account:
You’ll get an email with a verification code. Enter that, and then complete the required information on the following screen:
You’ll need to connect your social media accounts, or paste in a link to your artist’s website:
Done! Well, mostly...
You’ll get an email from Spotify within 3 days. They typically request the UPC of your upload for confirmation. You can find your UPC just below your artwork on the right hand side on your album page! It'll say "DK UPC:" And with that, you’re all set, having claimed your Spotify Artist Page! You’ll then access the page through https://artists.spotify.com/
