An IPI (Interested Party Information) number, which is sometimes called a CAE (Composer, Auteur, and Editeur) number, is a unique number assigned to songwriters and publishers by their Performance Rights Organization (PRO).
It is usually between 8 and 11 digits, and is not the same as a member ID or account number with your PRO.
