What is Social Media Pack?

Social Media Pack is an annually charged DistroKid Album Extra that gets you notified and paid when your music is used in content posted to social media platforms. We are monetizing content from matches on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

Here’s how this works:

• First, opt-into Social Media Pack in the DistroKid upload form. You'll see pricing information there. Price is per release (album or single). You can also opt-in a release after it's been uploaded to DistroKid, if you prefer.
• Once you've opted in, DistroKid will add your music to the platform databases. The platforms use audio fingerprinting technology to identify when your music appears in any content.
• When your music is detected in content, monetization (ads) will be turned-on for that content.
• The ad revenue (minus 20%) will go to you, instead of the person who uploaded the content. These earnings will be shown in your DistroKid "Bank" tab.
