It is not necessary to embed any metadata like track titles, genre, ISRC, or cover art into your audio files before you upload them to DistroKid.

All information that is relevant to your release's metadata is entered on the DistroKid upload form for your release. The information you enter on the upload form is what streaming services will use for your release's metadata. Any prior embedded information will be disregarded by streaming services.

Should I Embed My ISRC Codes Directly into My Audio Files?

It's not necessary to embed ISRC codes directly into your audio files before uploading them to DistroKid. It won't cause any harm if you do, but streaming services will ignore that data.
