You can request a specific start time for audio previews for your tracks in TikTok, Apple Music, and iTunes. Preview clip time selection is only available for tracks with a duration longer than 1:16, and are only available in 60 second increments.
For example: If you have a 3 minute track, the latest preview time you can select is at the 2 minute mark.
Note that not all platforms offer the full 60 seconds of the preview. Depending on which store or service, preview times may range anywhere from 10-60 seconds in length.
Selecting a Preview Clip Start Time
Under the "Preview clip start time" section of the DistroKid upload form, you can select which portion of your track users hear when previewing your release. Select "Let me specify when the good part starts" to specify which part of the track you want available for previews.
If your release is already in streaming services, you can head to your album page from your DistroKid dashboard and click on the "Edit Release" button. You'll see the "Preview clip start time" section from the edits page – you can select the start time for the clip and then select "Submit Edit Request."
