When an order made to your Direct store fails, it gets cancelled and we attempt to refund your customer for the order charge.
Here's what causes Direct order failures:
Payment failure (your PayPal account)
If we can't withdraw the production and shipping cost for the items in an order from your PayPal account, the order fails. You'll get an email notification and have 48 hours to fix the issue. If it's resolved in time, the order is resubmitted. If not, the order is cancelled and your customer is refunded. Refunds are usually instant. If we're unable to process one, we'll contact you directly to complete it.
Item out of stock
If a product is unavailable when the order is placed, it's automatically cancelled and your customer is refunded.
Invalid shipping address
If the customer's address is incomplete or undeliverable, the order may fail. Your customer can usually place a new order with a corrected address.
Other reasons
Occasionally orders fail for other reasons. In these cases, the customer is refunded automatically and can try again.
